At the 32nd General Synod, the church was charged with convening a working group to produce a Manual on the Local Church. The Manual on Church Working Group has worked diligently over the past two and a half years towards these ends. Though there is additional work forthcoming, in the fall of 2022 this draft was shared. The draft includes: Definition of a Local Church; Marks of Faithful and Vital Local Churches; Congregational Code for Local Churches; Church Accountability Procedures; and Local Standing in the UCC for new or affiliating Faith Churches.
