The Schuylkill Association of the PSEC is located at the northern point of the PSEC. Currently, the Schuylkill Association is composed of 29 churches: six full-time clergy, 23 churches have part-time pastors; nine churches are multiple-charge and two are union churches. The Association has one Commission Health Minister providing information, services and education within the Association. Clergy gather once a month, September through May for fellowship, education, and mutual ministerial support. This season, the educational topics include: Eating for Justice and Spiritual Health, Soul Types: Myers-Briggs Spiritual Types, Helping without Hurting, Chemically Dependent Addiction, Helping without Hurting, Part 2, Behavioral Addiction, Churches & Community Health, Providing Opportunities for Adolescents in Schuylkill County, and Locust Lake Camp Ministry. In addition to the primary committees, we also have a Communications Committee, Missions Committee, and Youth Committee. At our Fall Association Meeting we were pleased to have 23 of our 29 churches represented with approximately 55 people attending.
