Executive Director for The Evangelical Reformed Historical Society

The Evangelical and Reformed Historical Society seeks applications for an executive director. This a two-year grant funded position. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and works with them to carry out the current mission of the ERHS, to collect, organize, preserve and make available for research the records of the Reformed Church and the Evangelical & Reformed Church. The primary goal of this position is to develop long term financial resources to support and sustain the mission and work of the ERHS. A secondary goal is developing financial support for current programs, particularly those that will cultivate wider awareness and interest in the unique heritage of E & R traditions. This includes encouraging research and understanding among scholars and developing interpretive resources.

ERHS director position description

Music Ministry Director Needed in West Chester

The United Church of Christ East Goshen in West Chester, Pennsylvania is looking for a Music Ministry Director. The Music Ministry Director provides organ and piano music for the main Sunday worship service (10:00 am) and leads the church choir, including choir practice one evening per week. The Music Ministry Director also provides music for special services.
This is a part-time position (approximately 10-12 hours per week) and begins April/May 2020. We’re looking for someone who will work with the Choir and Pastor to lead creative, uplifting Worship. An understanding of the traditions of Church music is important as well. This caring friendly Congregation invites you to come grow with us.

Treasurer wanted in Reading

St. Mark’s UCC, 211 W. Greenwich Street, Reading, is looking for a treasurer.

  • Part-time, 10-12 hours per week position to serve as primary record keeper for all financial transactions related to St. Mark’s UCC.
  • Records all income and expense transactions, pays all bills and taxes associated with the church, and produces all required tax related documents.
  • Generates paychecks and monthly produces required financial documents and reports such as balance sheets, income and expense reports, and payment summaries.
  • Attends periodic Consistory and annual Congregation meetings to review financial documents and answer questions.
  • Knowledge and experience with the financial application called “Church Windows,” or the ability to learn same is required, and bookkeeping experience highly desirable.

Director of Music in Trappe

St. Luke’s UCC, Trappe is searching for a Director of Music to accompany a blended 9:30am service comprised of traditional and praise music on Sunday mornings. This person must be proficient on Estey pipe organ and Steinway grand piano. This person will also direct and accompany the adult choir from September through June with rehearsals on Sunday morning following the service. Spring City church needs temporary organist for several months

Brownback’s UCC, 640 Ridge Rd., Spring City is in need of an organist while the church’s organist heals from an injury. The organist is needed for Sunday services, especially Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, and Easter. Reimbursement is $200 per Sunday.
