MINDFULNESS – WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
– Charles Curtis
Mindfulness is exploding in the culture. There are magazines, books, and videos on this concept everywhere, and lots of mindfulness websites and phone apps all over the internet. What is causing this explosion of interest are all the claims, scientifically based and otherwise, that daily practice of mindfulness will improve your health, increase your feelings of wellbeing, and make your days flow more smoothly and peacefully.
Is there something in this cultural movement that could benefit you? To answer this question, this presentation will combine a theoretical talk on the science and practice of mindfulness, with a guided experience through some easy and gentle mindfulness techniques that will leave you feeling profoundly peaceful. All participants will receive a recording of the presentation and meditation experience.
