Topic:  Children’s Sermons CANCELLED due to Coronavirus Restrictions

As more and more churches include children in full worship, a special time for children has become an important part of that time.  However, doing a meaningful children’s sermon can be daunting.   In this workshop we’ll chat about why we do children’s sermons, explore the parts of a children sermon, and discuss resources.  Participants will craft a Children’s Sermon based on the upcoming lectionary texts for 3/29/20 and one based on a children’s book.  Participants should read Ezekiel 37:1-14, Psalm 130, Romans 8:6-11, and John 11:1-45 prior to the workshop.  Participants are also encouraged to bring children’s books they feel could be used as the basis for a Children’s Sermon.
