Theology with a Twist: Immigrant Children at Bethany Children’s Home

September 10, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Tuesday, September 10
Rev Kim Kendrick
Speaks on the Immigrant Children
At Bethany Children’s Home

The Bethany Children’s Home expanded their services to provide a Helping Hands program to temporarily shelter unaccompanied children who have crossed our borders to enter the United States. These children are seeking to reunite with their families who already reside in the United States. Many of these children are victims of human trafficking and/or have come from very dangerous environments. The children, ages infant through eighteen years of age, are in desperate need of a safe and appropriate shelter while seeking reunification with their family members.

Reverend Kim Kendrick serves as Chaplain for the Bethany Children’s home. She graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2014 with a MDIV. She is an ordained in the United Church of Christ. In 2016 Pastor Kim was called upon to be the Chaplain for the National Youth Event in Orlando Florida. In 2017 she was the closing preacher of General Synod, the National UCC meeting.

In her spare time and joy time, Pastor Kim is chauffeur, tickler, and karaoke partner of three brilliant nuggets, one 8 year old and twins 2 years old.

At this session we will be collecting sweatshirts and sweaters girls sizes xs, small, med and Boys sizes small and med.   We may like the cooler evenings, but the children are cold, and we know colder weather will be coming.

Theology with a Twist is free. Food and drink are available for purchase.
