Spirit on Tap
Tuesday, February 15, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, 701 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601
Dr. Greg Carey, Professor of New Testament at Lancaster Theological Seminary, will speak on “Understanding Christian Nationalism” at Spirit on Tap on Tuesday, February 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
Understanding Christian Nationalism
Public attention turned to Christian nationalism with the January 6, 2021 assault on the US Capitol, but the movement is hardly new. Historians, social scientists, and theologians have been researching the movement intensively for several years. We will introduce what Christian nationalism is, what the movement wants, how it relates to Christianity, and what social factors define the movement.
