Clare of Assisi House, located in Reading PA, provides residential transitional living for non-violent women with a history of domestic violence and/or substance abuse upon their release from prison. Clare of Assisi House endeavors to help women break the cycle of homelessness, unemployment, and poverty by enabling them to become psychologically and economically self-sufficient so that they may be contributing members of the communities in which they live.

Pam Mills is the Executive Director of Clare House of Assisi in Reading. She will discuss their program of providing important life skills training and the encouragement and support these women need to put the pieces of their lives back together. She will introduce some of the residents to share their stories and what Clare House has done for them.
