While most people are somewhat familiar with the health benefits of meditation, many are not aware that meditation is a structural pillar for any yoga practice. Come learn about this very important facet of yoga and explore simple technique to incorporate meditation into your day to day life for the purposes of stress reduction, deeper contentment and greater happiness.
Sudha is the co-founder and primary teacher of Kula Kamala Foundation, a 501c3 public charity. Her dedication to spiritual understanding led her to develop an ashram, a spiritual school, where she teaches a universal wisdom that uplifts hearts and awakens minds. She began studying spirituality, Buddhism, Yoga, and earth based spiritual traditions over thirty years ago. Sudha says “consistently deepening my own understanding of the sacred and practical aspects of spiritual life also caused me to experience the power of living, loving, and knowing. This journey has been continually transformative, reaffirming and uplifting. It has allowed me to know the essence of deep spiritual integration and it opened me to the practice of cultivating meaningful connections in all aspects of life. As a leader and servant in my community, I have accepted the responsibility to share what I know to be supportive, healing and unifying. As such, I am committed to the matter of peace, to guiding others mindfully and skillfully, and to being my most authentic self in the world.”
Dr. Allitt holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Temple University, BS in Evolutionary Anthropology from Rutgers University with Highest Honors, and BA in Political Science from Rider University. She has written extensively in the fields of anthropology and yoga.
