“A Christian Coming-Out Experience” will be presented by Rev. Kevin McLemore at Spirit on Tap on Tuesday, February 28, at 7:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, 701 Penn Street, Reading.

In the context of his personal story of being Christian and a gay man, Rev. McLemore hopes to share some insights on the tension found in being a Christian clergyperson and loving the Church, which often seeks to harm those of his kind, knowingly or unknowingly.

The Rev. Kevin J. McLemore is the Associate Conference Minister for Search and Call in the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ. He began this new ministry after 24 years in parish ministry, serving congregations in small towns and urban settings and of various sizes. He received his undergraduate degree in Religion from the University of Alabama and his Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Kevin lives in Pottstown with his spouse Douglas Wilson, a retired elementary school teacher.
