Harry Serio will discuss the use of sound in various world religions for worship and contemplation. From Gregorian chant and the music of Hildegard von Bingen to the use of chant for spiritual development among Native Americans, Sufis, Hindus, Buddhists and others we will explore the attempts to achieve oneness with the harmony of the universe. We will experience sacred chant to approach deeper levels of meditation.
