DESCRIPTION:Quiet Days is coordinated by the Spiritual Life Mission Team (Ursinus Association) and held at New Goshenhoppen Church.  We meet the first Tuesday of each month from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.  It is a time for\nspiritual reflection with a group and also time alone.  The meeting\nconsists of an opening statement\, made by a convener\, and followed by group discussion.  The group then disperses anywhere on the Church campus for solitary time.  We gather back together at noon for lunch and further group discussion.  This event is open to anyone.  All you need to bring is your lunch\, perhaps a Bible or other spiritual material\, and your willingness to listen and/or share in discussion.  Coffee\, tea\, and light refreshments are provided.\nWe do ask\, if not a financial hardship\, for a $5.00 goodwill donation that goes toward the use of the building. Please do not allow your inability to make this donation\, be a deterrent to attending. \nLastly\, as we look towards the future and the merger of conferences into the new Keystone Conference the Spiritual Life Mission Team is looking for additional volunteers. DESCRIPTION:This year we\, the four PA Conferences of the UCC\, will come together to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the German Reformed Church in the United States which began with the first communion at Faulkner Swamp\, October 15\, 1725. This celebration of our immigrant heritage is particularly meaningful and instructive given the current conversations about immigration happening around the nation. \nOn Sunday October 12th\, we will celebrate with communion\, this special anniversary.  Our guest preacher will be our General Minister and President\, The Rev. DESCRIPTION:300th Anniversary Date of the Actual Communion Celebration of the First Communion of theGerman Reformed Church in America\nThis year we have been celebrating the 300th Anniversary of the German Reformed Church in the United States which began with the first communion at Falkner Swamp\, October 15\, 1725. This celebration of our immigrant heritage is particularly meaningful and instructive given the current conversations about immigration happening around the nation. \nA history strong in its roots and its capacity to evolve within God’s unfolding creation leads us into an uncertain future by God’s certain presence. \nOn this day\, October 15\, we close the worship celebrations with communion on the actual anniversary date of that first communion held by our ancestors. \nJoin us at Wentz’s UCC for this historical and final worship of our 300th Anniversary celebrations. \nFor free registration for online and in-person attendance\, click here.

DESCRIPTION:The Fall Meeting of the North Penn Association\nwill be held virtually on Sunday\, October 19\, 2025. \nAttendance will be taken starting at 1:45 pm\nBusiness meeting begins at 2PM.\nProgram is expected to begin at 3 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n In addition to the business  of the Association\, we are pleased to announce our program and speaker. \nRev. Dr. Katherine Willis Pershey will discuss the book:\n“When Church Stops Working: A Future for Your Congregation Beyond More Money\, Programs\,  and Innovation by Andrew Root & Blair D. Bertrand”\n PROGRAM: What if the solution for the decline of today’s church isn’t more money\, people\, programs\, innovation\, or busyness? What if the answer is to stop and wait on God. The authors show how actively watching and listening to God can bring life out of death for churches in crisis today. Using clear steps and practices they invite church leaders to stop the endless cycle of doing more and rather to simply “be” in God’s presence.\nOUR SPEAKER: Katherine Willis Pershey serves as one of the co-pastors at First Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Appleton\, Wisconsin. She enjoys congregational ministry\, and is deeply grateful for her primary vocation. She previously served churches in California and Illinois. She love to write\, and has published work in a number of genres. Her most recent book “Love Letters to God” was co-authored with Devon Spencer. DESCRIPTION:Gifts of the Reformed Church Going Forward w/ Dr. Randall Zachman\nDr. Zachman examines what are the unique gifts that the Reformed theological tradition can offer to the church going into the future? Two of its most important gifts are the focus on the free self-giving goodness of God\,  and the central role of gratitude in the lives of the faithful. The Reformed tradition insists that God is not only the giver of every good thing\, but is also the one who freely gives Godself to us\, so that “God may be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:28). Our lives should therefore express gratitude not only for the abundant gifts God freely gives us\, but for the gift of God’s very self to us.
