DESCRIPTION:In this three-hour Advanced Boundary Training on ZOOM\, the issues around pastoring to others while experiencing your own challenges will be explored. When clergy are experiencing a crisis themselves\, how can they remain pastorally effective while also tending to their own needs? How much should one share with your congregation about your own physical\, emotional\, and spiritual challenges? How does one set up healthy boundaries with a congregation\, while also acknowledging their desire to care for you? These issues and others will be discussed in this training with a mixture of teaching\, discussion\, and case studies. \nThe following two GPC Ministers  are conducting the this Boundary Training: \nDonna Mast is an Eastern Mennonite Seminary graduate with a double major in Pastoral Care and Counseling and Christian Spiritual Formation. Since graduation\, she has served as a pastor\, spiritual director\, conference minister\, and most recently a Gestalt Pastoral Care minister. DESCRIPTION:Many of us\, when elected to a leadership position in our congregation\, know very little about our denomination. Yet\, as leaders of the congregation\, we are responsible for our relationship with the denomination. This is a course in United Church of Christ polity\, that is\, how our denomination functions. Participants will receive by electronic mail a printable copy of the workbook “United Church of Christ Polity for Lay Leaders.” \nThis will be an on-line course meeting Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm October 17\, 31\, and November 7\, 14\, and 21. \nThis course will be led by Dr. Charles A.
