SUMMARY:Anti-Bias Training: Cultural Humility in Ministerial Practice - sponsorsed by Penn Central Conference
DESCRIPTION:Anti-Bias Training: Cultural Humility in Ministerial Practice \nFacilitator ACM Rev. Dr. Nora Foust\nNovember 12 at 10am-noon OR 6-8pm via zoom \nWe serve a church that is 83% white that strives to be a justice seeking denomination\, as well as one that is multicultural and multiracial. Your own congregation\, perhaps even your community\, may not be very racially diverse but is likely more culturally diverse than you would think on the surface. Join this discussion for deeper understanding of the ways in which we carry implicit and explicit biases in our daily lives and how those biases can impact ourselves\, those around us\, and the Church. \nTo Register\, click here.  When registering you will be able to choose the time that suits you best.

SUMMARY:Gifts of the Reformed Church Going Forward w/ Dr. Randall Zachman
DESCRIPTION:Gifts of the Reformed Church Going Forward w/ Dr. Randall Zachman\nDr. Zachman examines what are the unique gifts that the Reformed theological tradition can offer to the church going into the future? Two of its most important gifts are the focus on the free self-giving goodness of God\,  and the central role of gratitude in the lives of the faithful. The Reformed tradition insists that God is not only the giver of every good thing\, but is also the one who freely gives Godself to us\, so that “God may be all in all” (1 Cor. 15:28). Our lives should therefore express gratitude not only for the abundant gifts God freely gives us\, but for the gift of God’s very self to us. This is a powerful message and gift we can share as the church moving forward.\nFor free registration\, click here.

SUMMARY:Reaffirmation of Ordination Vows
DESCRIPTION:The Conference Ministers of the four Pennsylvania UCC Conferences will host a Service of the Reaffirmation of Ordination Vows for ordained clergy on Maundy Thursday\, April 17\, at 11:00a via ZOOM.  The Rev. Dr. Carrie Call will deliver the sermon. \nIt’s a long-standing custom in liturgical traditions for clergy to gather on the same day Jesus offered “a new commandment”– to love and serve one another– for the reaffirmation of their ordination. We hope this will be an experience of spiritual encouragement and connection. \nClergy are encouraged to wear a stole received at their ordination\, a red stole\, or any other stole that has significant meaning. The service includes the sacrament of virtual communion so please prepare in advance. \nFor free registration\, click here.
