August 12 – Search & Call Summit @ St. Luke’s UCC, Trappe

Join us for a “Search and Call Summit” to explore best practices for search committees and tips for completing the new Local Church Profile. The event will be Saturday, August 12 from 9:00 am -12:00 noon at St. Luke’s UCC, Trappe. This is an opportunity to learn from others who are going through the search process and your conference staff. This event would be especially beneficial to interim pastors, search committees, church leaders that anticipate having a search over the next few years (will your pastor be retiring?), and churches that want to use the new Local Church Profile as an assessment tool.

All congregations of the United Church of Christ are being encouraged to complete parts of the Local Church Profile when they are not in a time of transition. This will serve to help churches look at the work that can be done now, when the leadership is stable, and also prepares the church so that a future search can be accomplished much faster than the current two-year minimum.

This event is free, but you must register so that we can have materials ready.
