“A caring community of Christ’s disciples, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to continue Christ’s work in God’s world.” That is the recently-discerned vision statement of Trinity UCC in the Mt. Penn area of Reading.

We are a growing congregation … growing, not in numbers, but in our desire to be faithful in following God’s will for our congregation’s ministries and mission. We are a caring congregation… putting caring for others and one another as a high priority in all our church’s ministries. Whether we are meeting as our Men’s or Women’s Ministry, Bible Study, Prayer Shawl Ministry, one of our Choirs, Kids’ Klub, or Youth Group, loving one another is as important to us as loving our God. One of the most significant ways we fulfill our vision statement is through our In His Name Food Pantry, which feeds many families each month. Members of our congre-gation also volunteer at the Kennedy House Soup Kitchen. We open our building for use by Alcoholics Anonymous and a group that is striving for renewal in our local community.

We are a seeking congregation… seeking for that missing piece of the puzzle that will help to complete the picture of what God wants us to be. God is in the process of doing a new work at Trinity, and we can’t wait to see what it will be!
