Pennsburg United Church of Christ is a small town congregation with big dreams. Our children are at the heart of our church. They faithfully attend our 9 am Sunday School, and they bring their quarters every week. Those quarters are placed in the quarter tower which holds $140. When the tower is filled, it is sent to Heifer International for the purchase of a goat, sheep or pig. The children love to tell the congregation every time they have it filled.
At 10:15, our church family gathers together for worship to be rejuvenated for the week ahead. One of the focal points in our sanctuary is our Mission Corner. Here we collect items for Open Link’s food cupboard and Church World Service. We have also collected items and money for Bethany Children’s Home, Morgan’s Magical Ears, and the Souper Bowl of Caring. We are proud to open our doors on the first Monday of every month as we host the First Monday meal. We have partnered with other churches in the Upper Perkiomen Valley to serve a meal to anyone who would like to come.
We look forward to our annual events which allow us to reach out into the community. Our Chicken Pot Pie dinner is always a hit. Vacation Bible School is something we look forward to every summer along with our Peach and Ice Cream Festival. We recently began holding a Spring Bazaar.
As we look to our past 175 years, we are looking forward to the next 175 years and what dreams will come true and what things are yet to come for our family at Pennsburg United Church of Christ. We are a welcoming congregation that celebrates and shares God’s unconditional love with each other, the community and the world.
